Our the course of the last 20+ years, Adawna Windom has been the vet for each of our dogs, from their puppy years to the end of their lives. Her intelligent, tender, wise care helped them have happy, long lives and we think of her as a true partner. If she were a doctor, we'd take our children and grandchildren to see her! We recommend her and North Seattle Vet Clinic wholeheartedly and without reservation.

This is a very expensive vet and has given poor advice on both my dogs, leading to more extensive vet bills in the future. Everybody is very kind and the veterinarian does seem to care, but I've found that some other places care more for less money.

The vets and staff at this place are nothing short of incredible. I brought my very sick kitty in during COVID - their protocols were smooth and somehow everyone was pleasant and patient despite jumping over so many hoops to get pets cared for. Dr. Allmendinger explained everything to me so patiently, asking very compassionately what path I would like to take. The story with that kitty did not end well, and when she heard, she sent me the sweetest email with condolences. Honestly, just the most amazing people work here.

On a quest for the perfect clinic near me, good reviews drew me to make an appointment at this clinic. In order to make an appointment, it was necessary to charge my card two weeks in advance of the appointment!? It just didn't sit well with me. I canceled 48 hours before and received a refund promptly, though this cancellation was not relayed to the appropriate staff. No matter how good their services may be, cash first is off-putting!

When I was getting ready to be a new dog owner I actually interviewed about a dozen vet clinics in North Seattle. Small Practices, large chain styles and everything in between. This is a nice medium sized practice, with different types of vets. They will look at rodent pets, cats, dog and rabbits. They also have a vet on staff that is not adverse to holistic approaches to pet care. You can insist on seeing only one, or whomever is available. They will file your insurance claims for you. They have an online appointment system plus a very helpful and friendly front office staff. Bonus? They are open on Saturdays.

All I can say is wow. What a wonderful group of people employed here. Every single person I've encountered here clearly love animals and it's apparent that this is more than just a job for them.
I brought my bunny here and they are more invested in his well-being and outcome than most doctors that I have seen for myself. They're readily available if you have any questions once you get home. My bun was having a rough go of it following surgery (not their fault) and they messaged me in the morning and the evening (after hours) for updates on his condition.
I will be a customer for life.

They’ve fixed my rabbit. They curbside pick up your pet and dispense the meds for them this way. I have yet to see the inside of the place or meet the vets face to face due to covid. But you can’t tell because they are through, call you for follow ups on your pets condition and save you tons of money. I also like that you can email, call or text them. Pretty neat! Took three months but they have seemed to fix my pet!

The vet we see and the staff are so great. Everything is explained clearly and throughly. Options are presented. No pressure to do anything unnecessary like you get from some vets. I trust them completely. We have taken our dog to several vets during his lifetime and this is by far the best experience we have had.

I love NSVC! They’ve been my vet for over two years now, and always give the best care. You can tell they really care about the animals, and love what they do, from the front desk, to the techs and vets.
I use them for annuals, and regular care. They’re super accommodating for both, and aren’t too pricey.

Dr. Neer and Dr. Nathanson are the best vets a guinea pig could ask for! They truly care about our little animals and always go above and beyond for us. When we had an emergency with one of our piggies, two different times they were able to fit us in and see us in between appointments on an otherwise booked-solid day.
Great care, great appointments, and they are really good about explaining what's going on with our little guys. I could not recommend them enough.

I brought my 6 month old in for his first annual. I met with Dr. Neer (first time).
We got our pup from the humane society and one of the workers there gave us a recipe for homemade food that she swore by. She talked to us in depth about kibble, brands, how much starch they really contain, and she was extremely thorough in explaining her thoughts with us. She explained.
When I met in the zoom call with Dr. Neer, the zoom connection was not great so she asked to call me. This was when I was talking about his diet and where we got the recipe from. I know she heard “humane society” and “homemade recipe from them”. She asked the ingredients and that’s when we lost connection. I guarantee she could not hear what I said/listed.
When she called me, she was not interested in the ingredients and proceeded to go on saying that pups need commercial diets and if I want to make food at home, there are vet-approved recipes. Because of the way she was talking, I did not bother to repeat that this was a recipe verified from the humane society or to try and tell her the 5 ingredients again. I simply said, “ok.” She did not explain why “a commercial diet is better” that’s all she said.
Often, you can tell someone is judging you and when she asked me if I had any questions and I said, “no”, that’s exactly what it felt like.
I’m open to changing his food, but please tell me why the food I’m making doesn’t work or what it’s missing, and please hear me out.
I will be going back to this location, but will request a different vet.
I would also like to be asked before giving my puppy whipped cream. If they are concerned about diet, they should clarify if there is sugar in the whipped cream or not and should please ask.

All the doctors and nurses here are extremely nice and patient. They stick around and answer questions, and they seem extremely capable at handling dogs that could be in a bad mood due to pain or discomfort.

My cat needed care during the COVID pandemic. The clinic staff handled the appointment like professionals. I waited in the car while they came out with masks on and proper social distancing protocol and took my cat inside to be examined. Following the exam the vet called me to talk about my cat and her health issues. This was my second visit to this clinic and both visits have been extremely positive. They don't push tests and treatments on you. But they obviously care very much about the pets they see as well as their owners :)

Just popped in to get a prescription refill - without calling first. (Don't normally do that, but was in the area unexpectedly.) Kind and efficient, they were able to get the refill done in a few short minutes. All staff are good natured and caring - of pets and their people.

Dr. Nathanson is fantastic! When you have an issue with a rabbit it is always an emergency and having someone with her level of knowledge is invaluable! Especially considering how few and far between true rabbit veterinarians are (we drove 2 hours and 45 minutes to see her for GI Stasis). I also greatly appreciate the insistence on follow up even if it does take some time for the vets to get back to you.

Prices are extremely affordable, the team is all absolutely fantastic... I took my kittens for their first visit to North Seattle Veterinary Clinic early this month. Their front desk was very helpful is scheduling the appointment, and telling the forms. They sent me a text reminder for the appointment which is always helpful. On the appointment, the vet was great, she took care of my kittens and she was playing with me and treated them nicely.

Very expensive and not very helpful. Took my dog here to get an estimate for dental work. First of all, they couldn't give any estimate of the cost without her having a physical exam ($72). Then, even with the physical exam, their estimate was $1100 - $2400 ... Depending on whether the teeth the doctor said definitely need to come out, actually needed to come out ... (I could actually hear them talking about it in the back room while we were in the exam room, and it sounded like the senior vet wanted it to sound less expensive than it actually was going to be). This seemed disingenuous, so we went to another vet that did the work for less than half the quoted price.
