They have a huge range of products when it comes to bike and car accessories or diy tools. There are hundreds of bicycles parts and bicycles for sale in this store. They service and repair the bicycles as well. But they don't service any cars in this shop. They might fit your wipers or change a bulb etc but the waiting time is too long (approx.45mins) for these tiny jobs which needs to be improved. Overall experience as a customer was good.

Everytime i visit this store, either store itself is empty with nobody on the shop floor to assist or they mind their own business. There is no such a thing as customer service. I have experienced this everytime i visit this store. They just assume expert customers to come in, buy and walk out. I went to buy something which they had in store but without checking, they said no we don’t sell it. I came back and checked online, item was in stock and available for that store.

So I had to call into this Halfords as my windscreen wiper had come off while driving into Leicester and it had been raining during the journey and didn't want to risk it, so a bloke came out (didn't get his name) and looked at it, however wasn't sure why it wouldn't go back on, so another bloke came out with him, eventually together they fixed it and I was ready for all weather's again, the two blokes were lovely and very helpful, and couldn't of asked for better service. Thank you to these blokes for all their help ☺ perfect service! ☺

The staff, when you could find them were not very knowledgeable and even though they looked at the car and went on their computer ended up with giving me the wrong products. I then had the inconvenience of returning to the store and returning the goods. I then spoke to another assistant who said I had been given the wrong products and proceeded to bring out another set of products which he said were correct, I could see from the outset that these would also not fit and asked to speak to the manager. It transpired that the original assistant had not only given me the wrong product but they should have given me a fixing kit as well. The manager said that this was not in stock but would have to be ordered. I asked if there was any kind of discount, due to my inconvenience to which he replied, ‘ I can offer 10% on the extra parts but I do not have to offer you anything ‘. His whole attitude was rude and condescending. I felt I had no choice but to ask for a full refund. I have since gone else where and found the right product for a better price. Will not go back to this particular branch again.

Be careful. Good value bikes, however aftercare is atrocious. Their standard response is "that's not covered because it's a wear component". My son's bike's bearings fell out because the bearing lock nuts weren't tightened properly when we bought it (I doubt that Halfords would have checked them when they assembled the bike). When we took it in we got the above response, even though clearly bearings falling out because of improperly tightened lock nuts had nothing to do with wear and tear. When they did admit they were at fault they just tightened the lock nuts, they didn't replace the damaged axle or the missing bearing dust covers; they even over tightened the bearing cones while doing it! On calling them, when I found out the work hasn't been completed properly, I then had to argue that they had done half a job and should have replaced the damaged/missing components and done the work they did do properly. Update - poorly put together bikes means you're more likely to have to go back for a service/buy a new bike for younger kids. Another example similar to the above is a poorly tightened crank bearing cover. I can only assume that they have worked out that if they don't tighten such parts that eventually (and not too soon to be a problem for them) the bikes fall apart.

Went last week to buy a wiper blade for my car. Asked the lady which would be the best and gave my car details. She went to her it for me and I asked if someone could fit it for me. She said yes , then I proceeded to paying and asked how long is a wait. She replied 30-40min as there were couple people waiting. I said no worries I cant wait that long and left. However after few days I realised as I went on their website they charge for fitting (which I dodntd know but thats fair). Lady at the counter didnt said anything about additional charges and when I said I cant wait she never said anything about refunding me a money that I paid for the fitting. I know it's not a big amount but its just not fair for charging for their service I didn't used.

Really helpful, very friendly staff. The bike section is brilliantly managed and those guys were very knowledgeable especially regarding repairs/technical queries. The national switchboard number is a bit lacking - calls take a long time to be answered - but I guess everyone works the floor and not the telephone. Great store, keep it up!
