Was really impressed with the customer service from Jack on the cycle department, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and listened to what I was looking for. He found the best bike within my price range and explained the benefits of that bike over the competition. Well done Jack.

Great service at Abbey Lane Halfords today. I rang ahead to check the part I needed for my car was available. When I arrived at the store it had been put aside for me and I was quickly served. A very calm, knowledgeable and helpful young man came and fitted the replac ement wing mirror to my vehicle. Thank you Halfords.

Shelves looked messy, dust on loads of products. Radio was way to loud and could hardly hear my thoughts so I went to have my bulb fitted else where. When walking into the store I was never greeting by anyone, walked round the store for 10-20 minutes and saw 2-3 staff members stood around not helping. Poor customer service I my eyes. Definitely needs a refit to get the place good okay. COVID safety was hmm okay to say. Have been in stores where it was much better than here

Great Store and very clean, Helpful Staff that went above and beyond what was required of them. Covid 19 Measures in place and adhered to by both Staff and Public. Quick turn around at the till. Enjoyable experience for once...I was surprised at how much I actually enjoyed the shopping experience at Halfords.

Worse service ever here. Bought the bike from here in July 2020, already had some problems went for free health check in august telling me you need new cassette new chain, total cost 70.00 quid. Anyway told it was only a month and I should have had guarantee, telling me that chains and cassette not covered. When the government voucher scheme came out I applied, went back again for a check telling me new chain this time cassette is fine new break wires etc. Total cost 60.00, I made it clear with one staff which put it down on the job paper for me. I told him I have a voucher he said that’s fine just come and pay the 10.00 when you pick up. This was on Monday 14.09.2020. Was also told that any other work someone will call bike should be ready tomorrow, but someone will call you. Thursday went and no call so I call to find out it’s not ready will be ready Monday. No call Monday so called Tuesday to be told it’s ready, when I go to pick bike up Mr Peter tells me that I have to pay 33.00, which I told him that your staff has put down the total amount of all work to be carried out. With the job sheet provided to me, he then says 20.00 I refused that I will only pay 10.00, which eventually they had no choice , even though they ask me to come back another day to pick it up. This is a money making scam Halfords do to get money out of you. Beware all, you could take a bike bought from them within couple days use it once and take back for a check only be told that ex amount of charge you will need to spend on repairs. This is a shame that Halfords are doing this. Be very careful all.

I was collecting my children’s bikes for Christmas. The assistant manager pre-emptively informed me that one of the bikes had a large chip in the paintwork on the frame. He offered to upgrade it for a more expensive bike at no extra cost, and build it for me while I waited. Exceptional customer service.

Took my bike here for the silver service was charged extra for the cables and end caps when a friend had also had the same service with no extra charges. Also the gears were not still not working as they should. Took my bike to an independent bike shop and they sorted it no issues since.

Well set up to be COVID 19 safe but there were people inside not wearing masks, and weren't being challenged. Had previously phoned to ask for a bike component to be put on one side only to find it was the wrong part on arrival. Quickly rectified with the friendly staff.

As a disabled customer, I would like other disabled persons to know that Halfords were able to work a solution to the fact I had both tyres puctured on my manual wheelchair and even though this had non-standard sized wheel diameters, were able to work a solution to this returning my wheels inflated and able to use on my chair again. At this time of Covid-19, I felt safe and the fact they were on my "door-step" almost were willing and able to problem solve an issue that was irregularly sized. I left, not only having had the issue solved, but engaged with the staff, learning something in the process. For cycles and motor bits, they are equiped, but also customers with mobility needs, you shouldn't feel they are "fish out of water".

Staff were very friendly and approachable. However I bought a brand new bike which had been damaged considerably when built by the store. There was no real solution offered to me other than returning the bike, and then to purchasing a more expensive one as a replacement. Quite disappointed with overall service.
