I spoke with a lady called Danielle who helped me to purchase a bike for my son.
I needed it building with a quick turnaround for a special occasion.
As soon as I explained this Danielle couldn’t be more helpful. She made sure everything was correct, confirmed the date the bike would be in stock, asked what else I needed and put the build as the first job that day.
End result was a morning phone call to say the bike was ready resulting in a very happy boy.
An absolute credit to your organisation, you should feel proud!!

The bike team at the Abbey Lane store are exceptional. Their knowledge is amazing, their service is first class and I cannot recommend them enough. I recently needed help with my bike as I was struggling to adjust the front brakes and quick release. One of the team, Gaian was so helpful and patient and even gave me a few tips that I see this not just as a great service but as an education!

I love Halfords! They do a range of great products and the prices are really good. I felt safe in the store. They weren't allowing many people in at once which was great. The staff however could be a little happier and have less of an attitude, really put a damper on the whole experience when you are happy with the purchase you are making but you are met at the tills by someone who spoke to you like sh*t.

I came here to get a second hand bike assessed and ultimately serviced using the government voucher scheme. I was very impressed with the friendliness and knowledge of the staff, it felt like talking to mates as they gave advice and answered questions. I was also pleased that all the work done was within the £50 of the voucher so I feel confident that their assessment was genuine and my ignorance wasn't taken advantage of.
I had previously avoided Halfords expecting them to be expensive, and while they are a few pounds dearer I now feel it's worth it for A service you can trust.

I recently took my mountain bike in for a gear service and was received by a chap who’s name was Rod (I think. Chap with long hair).
He was very knowledgeable and treated me and my sons with great service.
He even adjusted my wheel spokes as a complimentary gesture. Highly recommend this gentleman for all your bike repairs.

Turned up on a Saturday morning and told the guy at the door what the problem was, I was instructed to park in a bay. The mechanic came out to me and proceeded to change my headlight bulb and then checked that everything was working ok. I then went to the checkout to pay. All in all the whole process took about 15 minutes. I now feel safe that my lights work. I was impressed with the professionalism, and the price to fit the bulb was below what I was expecting. It was a very good experience and I will definitely be using Halfords again.

I ordered a new bike for my daughter online and was able to pick a time slot for my collection. When we got there, the bike was ready and all we needed to do was to shop for a new helmet and few other accessories. Overall very good experience. They have adjusted the seat as well.

My experience was alright.
I bought my new bike online, where it was saying that it is ready to be picked up within 3 working days.
I have received phone call next day morning that the bike is actually not available, so website wasn’t giving a correct information, so they offered me that I can choose to get my money back or get same bike in a different colour. I choose a bike in different colour and was very excited to pick up my bike. When I arrived it turned out that I mixed up appointment dates and came one day later but the bike was not ready. I have been told that it is actually planned to be ready for collecting two days after that. Because the store was empty and they were not too busy they found my bike and built it while I was wandering around in the store for next 20 minutes? They were very helpful and friendly. Problems solved, I am happy :)

I've lived within a 5 minute walk from halfords so It has always been my go to store for bikes and parts.. and I can honestly say not just for bikes and other things as the shopping experience goes this is the worst hands down I'd go as far to say I'd give anyone 50 quid if they find any worse service it is that poor.. in the past I have came out with more problems than when I first went in in the first place.. it is beyond embarrassing

The worst service ever in Leicester stores.
3 times ins store to fix a puncture and still with a wheel that keeps loosing pressure every 2 days.
No useful staff.
Covid secure guidelines just a fantasy, customers in and out without a mask and staff without saying anything.
Had to complain to get an order placed days on advance, they said everything was in store, I go to pick up things and it was not true.
The store manager offered me a 20% discount in store and after 5 minutes, it was not the case. Then they offered me 10% discount on the phone and then again, via email they said it couldn't be arranged.
Ah.. forgot... I went to buy a bike... And I had to order it myself, with my phone in store as the guy serving me couldn't bother.....
They are lucky I've a cycle to work scheme , but I will definitely talk to the company I work for (University of Leicester) and suggest to go for another retailer store. Evans offers a way much better service.

The store was great and easy to sort out my issues. Everywhere you look there are great staff to help with anything. One of the staff, Michael was especially nice and helped me out more than ever. I couldn't fit my bike into the car and the store was full of bikes that are for repair so there was no space to put my bike for repair and yet Michael still let me keep my bike in for repair. Great customer service and Wide array of great bikes to choose from.

Not a great visit. Was told light bulbs don't have a 1 year warranty, paid nearly £20 per bulb and was only 6 months old. Whilst there requested a bulb for side indicator, when given bulb said it looked large but was told it was right one. When I got home found out is was the WRONG bulb so took it back to other Leicester branch on Putney Road. Staff member was excellent, said bulb was wrong and also told me bulbs ARE guaranteed for 1 year . She quickly sorted everything out with no hassle. Well done her ( didn't get her name unfortunately) will stick to that store in future.

Went there today to get a new headlamp bulb, I asked for 2 even though 1 of them was OK. I do a lot of driving at night, the guy changed them over and gave me the good bulb back as an emergency. I drive a Mazda 3 changing bulbs is difficult at best. They changed the bulbs, checked my other lights, battery and windowscreen wipers. Other than the Bulbs and fitting them everything else was free. Thank you Rhys who did most of the checks whilst I was paying. This guy is a big asset to your company. Highly recommended.

Purchased a bike from this store and told would be made up and to collect Thursday. Gent who served was amazing and helpful. Came Thursday to collect and told wouldn’t be done until Saturday by a rude man which we were told was the manager with no explanation just to come saturday. Went Saturday to collect and another man served us and wasn’t the best person to be in the bike section when we was pretty clueless and not helpful.
