I've been using Parkers for years but they have declined since their big reorganisation. The motor parts counter was staffed by older, more experienced staff who would often help and suggest solutions for car problems. All these staff have gone and replaced with young guys who seem more interested in their computer screens and chatting to one another than the customer stood in front of them. The shop is okay for auto stuff but hardly outstanding.

I called Parkers as I needed some specific type of vehicle registration plates making, they advised which branch could make them, Syston, plates were made while I waited, good quality, and good price and great service.

Sick of being told my parts are on the shelf when they are not!
That tall one. With greasy hair with the bellowing phone voice needs to use his eyes to look for stock and not for his phone. I’ll be using the Melton shop from now on never had a problem with them. AVOID

I come here a few times for bits.
Last week came in was served by a managr with teeth so neon yellow I now have cataracts! sort it out pal he seemed more interested in his phone then serving me n people in line. Then the head boy there jon came over and took off where sunshine teeth left off. Good lads and fair prices tho shame about one lad

Staff always helpful! Was looking for a copper crush washer for the sump plug on my yamaha raptor after a service. Euro car parts would not help as thier computers did not recognise the reg and basically said "dunno". Even yamaha themselves didn't have a clue!! Went here and they had all the washers they had to size up to my bolt. Found one for a Renault that fit perfectly! Charged me under 2 quid for 2. Peanuts! No more oil leak. Happy customer. 5 stars just for spending 5 minutes to help, not a "dunno" like euro!

This is my local Parkers store and every time I have occasion to use it I find the staff will happily go that extra mile to help source whatever it is I need, in this case an odd sized brake union that I needed urgently. If they don't have the requisite item within the store then the default position is to check the stock level at the other Leicester stores. Being open until 3pm on a Sunday, unlike many other motor factors, is also an absolute life saver!

I bought a battery on Saturday for my 20 years old Felicia after my alternator fried the old battery. Having fitted it the car still would not start,. Not having a clue as to what the problem was I phoned them up at least twice and they very willingly gave me some helpful advice. Can't recommend them highly enough, in spite of the one or two unnecessarily harsh negative reviews on here.

Went there Sun pm as according to their Google entry they are supposed to be open until 6.00pm. Should have known better, they were shut. Clearly have these entries on Google but don't keep them up-to-date and apparently also don't read messages sent to them via it. They would be better deleting the entry altogether and incorporating these essential details into the main body of their corporate web site.

Not a bad place although I picked up a packet of fuses and, having checked and re checked the price made my way to the till to be told that the price was pretty much double the one shown?? I was told that it "must have been on the wrong hook" something I struggle with as all packs are labeled and sorted into different price bands...

Staff all just having a nice little chat, mentioned that my hot chocolate out of the Costa machine wasn't very warm & the girl just said "yes it is cold today" . When I said I was talking about the tepid chocolate she just said " oh, o,k" ! Hmm lack of customer service!!!

Ive been in here a handful of times now, and each time Ive been blessed by the customer service skills of some managerial type called Tim who is about as helpful as a chocolate teapot. All I wanted was a simple part for my car and was repeatedly given a load of needless lies about stuff having to be imported from overseas and it being special order yada yada, when in fact i already called up other branches and its available there. I dunno if this chap is just messing with customers to entertain himself but its a struggle going to this place wondering if ill get a straight answer. Id go to another branch if this wasnt right on my doorstep.
Plus the other lads there could smile a little, christ.
