The vet and nurse at Southdown surgery were really friendly very thorough, caring and spent time to provide an excellent service to our 2 Guinea pigs. I had previously taken them to another local vet whom had spent less than a minute looking at them then googled their symptoms, this surgery provided a service far beyond. Would highly recommended.

I telephoned this practice and received good advice to take my dog immediately to see the Vet as he had an abscess which had burst. She was very gentle with him and prescribed antibiotics as well as pain relief, advising if and when to stop. My dog was also fitted with a cone collar to prevent him from over licking his wound. We have an annual plan at Southdown and receive 10% discount off medications as well as twice yearly check ups and annual vaccinations. The premises are clean and welcoming with kind, caring staff.

I found this practice in a very difficult time for my me and my dog struggling with his old age and the complications it brings. I'm really glad I did after so many frustrating experiences with other practices I've been before. For the first time I felt I had proper attention and support without being rushed after after a few minutes. Thanks Anita for going through the most difficult decision of my life in such a kind and nice way.

I am so grateful to this practice for all the fantastic care and attention they have given to my cat, especially over the last 18months since she was diagnosed with 2 critical illnesses. I always knew they were good from our annual vet check ups and occasional visits following the odd cat fight! However, since her diagnoses last year the staff have been absolutely brilliant - both with our cat and with us. Every member of staff has been extremely friendly, professional, knowledgable, honest and so very caring. It's been a long journey already but 18 months on and our lovely little cat is back to her playful, mischievous self and in the best health for a while. Whilst that may not last forever, I know she is in the best possible care with the team at Southdown.

My cat Elmo had a dental procedure done here recently, and the service was excellent. From the moment I walked in the door I was treated with such professionalism and warmth. I received regular updates throughout the day on his progress and my many questions were answered by the highly knowledgeable nurses. I would not hesitate to bring him or any of my other pets here in the future. Excellent value for money

myself and my family have nothing but love for this practice.
They treat our pets as if we're watching, share our concerns and always
do what's best. They are by no means money driven; their priority is always
the best for our pets.
I used vets 2 home to say goodbye to my beloved Boo, my best friend for 18.5 years and i couldn't have wished for a better service. he went to sleep on my lap-peacefully and out of pain and i'll never forget what they did for us. Have been with this practice for 20 years and know i couldn't do better by my pets for their care.

My mini schnauzer is very special as I watched her being born and she has been with me all her life. She is the grand age of 13 years now. Thanks to Southdown veterinary group , she hopefully will be with me a little longer.
A few months ago she started being very sick and not her usual self. After a blood test she was diagnosed with liver disease. I did not want to put her through any procedures that would stress her. At the initial consultation the vet discussed a range of intrusive and expensive diagnostics. I was not pressurised into any of the treatments. We discussed other options and decided to put her on a special very low fat diet and a daily liver support capsule. Jazzie has been on this regime now for 3 months and she is back to her normal self plus more bounce!!!! A big thank you to all concerned for your kindness and help.

I have been a customer at Southdown vets in Shoreham and Southwick for 25 years, they are an extremely caring practise and make you feel at ease every visit.
Our beautiful Golden Retriever was recently diagnosed with a heart condition which made for an upsetting time for us as a family.
The care and empathy shown to us at Southdown is genuine, and with the correct medication we may have a little more time with Fletcher. He makes us laugh everyday!
