I would give 0 star if I could. I don’t know how many times I had difficulties booking an appointment with them, I lost the count. I am registered patient with online access to the services. First they took away my ability to book appointments online. Then i asked them at least 5 times that there is a problem, they simply asked me to try again later and nothing changed. This all took around 2 years. Now I can’t book anything online, I have to call on a day to get an appointment with my “useless” gp. I say useless because he literally to this date never been helpful. I just somehow got well. I’ve been suffering with ear infection and cannot book an appointment because they’re always fully booked. Ahhh I should also add they gave me a flu jab in December 2020, then in February I called them back because I heard my age group already had their 1st Covid vaccine. They said that I already had it in December. So they messed it up. They thought that flu vaccine was the 1st part of the Covid vaccine. Imagine!!!! I am leaving this useless clinic and their useless GP!!!

The receptionist was efficient and friendly. The doctor asked careful questions and took her time, and she too was kind. From first phoning to having my prescription collected at my nearest pharmacy only 45 minutes elapsed. I am impressed, and grateful.

Don’t even bother. They will just call you and discuss the many ways in why they will not help you. Their motive is to not do their job. Useless place.

Very helpful reception and doctor, rang earlier than expected and got my prescription same day. Can't fault a thing, thank you for the help!

So difficult to get appointments. I have to have regular blood tests and this clinic keep telling me to call back the next week because they've run out of appointments and you can only book 2 weeks in advance, but then when you call back the next week it's the same deal. Time wasting and stressful

Walked in with a hand wound that required glue / stitches. Poor communication and language levels with the receptionist. I was sent away due to Covid procedures, waiting for over 1.5 hours locally for someone to call back. Then again very poor service and unwillingness from nurse to assist. I could have been advised to move on and not wait in the least... Lack of consideration for patients across the board. Left to look for another hospital

I've been called back, had a prescription ready and then had the medication in my hand within a couple of hours. My friend also was having a panic attack and they called her back within half an hour and sent her a prescription to a pharmacy across the road from her. Very quick and kind staff.

Had an emergency that was not bad enough for a and e but had to be dealt with . Called me and they saw me within a few hours that evening , very thorough and great help . In and out very swiftly .. have Always found them really great when I’ve not been able to see anyone from my own surgery (who in fact unhelpfully suggested I went to a and e !) . Great service , Thankyou !

I’ve been a registered patient here for 5 years and would have rated this service with 4 stars up until about a year ago. Previously, I have always been able to speak to a doctor - and see one if necessary - on the same day. However, the waiting times to speak to or see a GP have increased greatly over the last year. Today reached a new low when I was told the next available face to face appointment was over 3 weeks away. Whoever is running the regular GP service now seems to have done some drastic cost cutting that has resulted in a reduced availability of GPs and a reduced quality of service for registered patients. I’m not sure what the service is like elsewhere, but I think I will have to start searching for a new GP.

Absolutely awful! I’ve never had such an appalling treatment in my life. I was in a lot of pain and this was my last option - I wish I’d never have gone. I walked in and was greeted by a rude, cold receptionist - I understand it’s not an easy job and by all means we all have bad days but being friendly isn’t the hardest thing to do! Especially for patients who may already be feeling awful! I felt completely patronised. I waited for 4 hours which is fine considering it’s a walk in and was a Sunday, I understand wait times are more of a problem with underfunding etc so I didn’t mind waiting. I was seen a doctor who was friendly enough but it felt he completely dismissed my pain and discomfort, the whole consultation was over within 2 minutes with him telling me to just go home and take some pain killers! I booked an appointment with my registered GP and find out I have a bad inflammation and ear infection as well as tonsil infection which needs a course of antibiotics, they said it was completely insane that the other doctor did not see this as it has been bad for a long time and should have been treated when I went to practice plus! This place needs to be shut down If you are going to put patients at risk, it could have been so much worse if I had just listened to this doctors advice. There were many more issues but I will just leave it here.

This is a good walk in clinic but it is awful as a registered patient. There is zero continuity between appointents whilst trying to diagose. The doctors seem confused as to why previous doctors have asked me to give samples relating to my condition. I recently got a blood sample taken for the second time to check for coleiacs and they simple didn't do the test. So I now have to go back in to get he test redone. I have decided to live with my poor health while I join another medical practice. AVOID

Excellent experience. It’s a wet and windy Saturday afternoon, so only a handful of patients waiting. I was advised a 1 hour wait. In fact I was in and out within 40 minutes. Maybe longer waiting times at peak times during the week, but I was very impressed. Thank you for the service.

Only use this place if it really is your only option. I arrived at 4pm today and was told 1.5 hour wait, it's now 7.20pm and I've just left after being seen. I was in a lot of pain which I made clear when I arrived but somehow other people also using the walk in service were getting prioritized above me.... Doctor I saw was great and really helpful but overall this was a terrible experience. They have signs up encouraging you to fill in a patient survey, I asked for one and conveniently they'd run out.....!!!

If I could give zero stars I would. Have made a complaint to NHS Trust Sussex about this practice, and I'm not the complaining type. Their failures and incompetence have led myself to unneccessary months of suffering, not only that but I have been spoken to in such a nasty, dismissive and unsympathetic way that I ended a phone call with them in tears. Please avoid this practice at all costs.

Medical staff there are great. The reception staff are a mixed bag, however. Had a perfectly good visit one evening (both medical and reception staff were friendly and helpful at 6.30pm), then called up to book some tests the next day as recommended. The receptionist who answered the next day first of all managed to confuse a blood test with a blood pressure test, but after a full five minutes managed to arrange an appointment. When I turn up on the day, it turns out it’s at a different site entirely, which they hadn’t mentioned. Luckily I was early and it was only 10 minutes away (at Boots, by the clock tower). So I get there and it turns out they’ve not booked it correctly so it can’t be done anyway. Luckily the staff at the Boots GP office seem to know what they’re doing. They also seem to be aware of ‘this particular member of staff’ booking things incorrectly, which is worrying. I’m now registered at the Boots GP so won’t have to gamble with the walk-in reception any more. ------------------------------ Update 12/05/21 Receptionists once again let down the actual medical staff. About a month ago I went into the surgery with a change of address and ID, and updated my address. Was assured that nothing had been sent to the last address within the last 12 months. Today I received a text message from the surgery asking me to confirm my address, so I called up to confirm it was a legitimate request. It was, but Nicki who answered the phone didn't know why. After a couple of requests, and with a lot of sighing, she made the effort to find out; apparently mail *was* sent to my previous address and had been returned. What was that mail? Was it important? She didn't know, or at least decided she didn't want to find out. Will it be forwarded to me? Yes. When? She didn't know. When I asked how long it usually took for them to process mail, her response was a sardonic "me personally?". Every single question was met with a level of resentment that I've not even encountered from the worst call centres or sales staff. It's such a shame that people like her are the face of this place, when the medical staff have been nothing short of wonderful whenever I've visited.

Have literally just returned from visiting the health centre. Arrived about 12 noon and the receptionist was very pleasant. Just 2 other people waiting and I was seen by a lovely nurse practitioner within half an hour The practitioner was thorough and friendly and wrote a prescription for the medication I needed. My experience was very positive.

I was experiencing the worst pain of my life as I’ve had lots of difficulty recently. The Doctor on the phone recommended that I get seen immediately and spoke to reception at the Boots Surgery to get me an appointment. The lovely lady was kind enough to get me on the waiting list at the walk in centre. However when I arrived I was greeted by the most rude receptionist. With no empathy at all for me as a patient. She had a go at me for being out on the list and when she asked for a brief description of why I was booked in she then realised when was going on. Started pretending to be kind. I understand it is a tough job but when you are dealing with people with all sorts and kinds of ailment it is very important to have someone who empathises and is more understanding to patients.

I as a regular service provider has seen when it first open till now and I'm well and truly impressed and so great full that the health centre is here as it has helped at my worst and best and threw some good and bad times and the staff and everyone is so welcoming, I have never been to a doctor that's actually taken their time to help and understand me and my problems and they are patient caring understanding I will definitely always recommend this place and gp n nurses n reception staff always supportive to each individual needs

After being told by NHS 111 to call my GP and get an appointment in the next 6 hours, I call Practice Plus and the woman who picks up the phone sounds disgusted with my request, telling me to call back 111 and say the surgery can't take any more people. I appreciate the strain the NHS is under but this is absolutely no way to treat a patient who is following instructions from a health advisor. It is not my job to call 111 about capacity limitations. I'm now sat with no option for following the advise I've been given.

Waited less than half an hour to see Nurse. I had taken a large chunk of flesh out of my arm when negotiating a doorway with my arms full of shopping etc. Although we dressed it at home, it continued to bleed through the night. I was cared for by a lovely nurse who carefully cleaned the wound and gently secured the skin back in place befor applying a robust dressing. Top notch service.

Great service from a friendly doctor. Receptionist updated me when I asked about waiting times. Arrived at 11.10 on the Sunday morning before Christmas and had a 2.5 hour wait. Thr staff not to blame in the slightest - it's the Tories who have underfunded the NHS for nearly 10 years.

Arrived at 9 o’clock this morning, seen by 10:30! The practitioner who saw me was very good, even had a laugh with her (which I didn’t expect that early on a Saturday morning!) Secretaries were lovely and seemed to have everything under control despite the waiting room being overrun. Although I hope I’m not unwell again, If i am, I know where will give me great service! Thank you!

Arrived at opening time 8 a.m. partner seen at 9. Very courteous and helpful doctor. As previous reviews, the reception staff let the place down. Treated the patients like cattle and snappy. Need radical training in patient relations and manners. Need professional uniform. Otherwise 4 star rating.

Wish I could write about just the one doctor I saw today, I was disgusted in the way I was treated this evening, after waiting 2 hours to be seen, I was not listened to or understood by the doctor provided, she belittle me because of my age and blatantly was rude to me because I was not accompanied by an adult... She spoke to me in words she knew I wouldn’t understand and gave me no alternative help from my illness and I left with nothing, a complete waste of time! And ended with me crying my eyes out, after feeling bullied by someone who was meant to help me! Disgusted with this treatment NEVER will I be visiting again.

On one occasion I had the phone put down on me 3 times. Yes I was extremely vocal...but in my defence I had been kept waiting for the prescription to be sent to the pharmacy for over a week! However since then there has been a greater understanding for my situation. So much easier & quicker to get an appointment as they now share surgery appointments with Boots Surgery in North St.

Was there this evening around 6pm. Was seen within 35 minutes and all the staff were very helpful. Would recommend. I've been to this place twice - four years apart - and had good experiences both times. Don't be put off by other reviewers being overly negative. It certainly hasn't been my experience.

I am registered at this practice. It is a complete dissaster. They give mostly telephone appointments rather than in person, they do not follow up with resutls, you need to call and call and insinst to get any follow up. They do not follow up with anything, if you do not call back, you will never know if the results of your tests were bad, even when you call back, sometimes, you do not get to know. They had a referral sitting with them for months because a test was needed, nobody contacted me, it was only when I called back, twice, that finally a doctor realised that action was required. Worst GP service ever.

Although having read some terrible reviews, I had no option but to visit this centre after falling ill during the Christmas period. The reception staff were helpful enough and I was called to be seen within an hour by a nurse called Charlotte who was absolutely fantastic. She was both friendly and professional and took a great deal of care over my treatment to ensure that I left feeling positive and well informed. Based on my personal experience, I would definitely recommend this service.

Would give a 0 if I could. First of all, I was greated by two not so happy receptionists. I understand it isnt the easiest job but a smile doesnt cost a thing and seems to me to be the best way to greet people... anyways, got asked to fill a form and explain my symptoms and then took a seat. While I was waiting, a lady came in with her partner and spoke to one of the receptionist. The receptionist then said "so when was your miscarriage then?". L pi ud eniugh so everybody could hear it in the waiting room. I felt so sorry for the lady. This is a private matter, the receptionist couldnt have been any more innapropriate if she tried. In the meantime, I was told the wait was 1.5hr. I had to wait 3hrs. I saw at least 6 people who arrived after me , see a doctor before me (i could understand if it was a matter of emergency, but clearly it didnt so really wonder why I wasnt important enough to be seen before them. Anyways). When I finally managed to see a practician, he couldnt have been any more patronizing. I felt awful. I explained what took me there and was told there is nothing he could do and I just had to go see my gp. I explained I was in pain. And got told to buy something from the chemist. I said I already had but it didnt work. He replied, well try again. I asked if he could have a look and said he couldnt. I left with tears in my eyes.. never again!!! Absolutely shoking experience!!

Booked an appointment for 17:40, was finally seen at 18:30. Previpsuly, when I was unregistered, I attended the walk in clinic. Was told 3hr wait but was actually a 5hr wait. When I called up I have repeatedly been given the wrong information over the phone and the phone advisors seem to have no idea what they are doing. You can book appointments online for two days time but there aren't any specific timeslots nor do they contact you with your preferred method (email/phone etc). You can't call up on the day to get an appointment (I can at home) I'm at uni here so don't have much choice, but compared to the GP surgery at home this place is dreadful

I would give 0 stars if I could. Awful service. Receptionist who can't speak English and doctors who accuse you of faking your illness and wasting their time. Editing so say that later the same afternoon I travelled 200 miles to see my own g.p...... apparently I do have an ear infection and fluid in my ear so looks like I wasn't just faking it for drugs.

Considering I don't live in Brighton, I was pleasantly surprised with my process. Not only it's the only clinic that takes non-registered patients, but I was greeted by friendly receptionists and the queue time wasn't that long. Obviously the last may be different with times, but that's the nature of a walk-in clinic. The doctor was very on the point and diagnosed me well. Very happy with the service!

Staff were quite nice when visiting but there is quite a bit of miscommunication in phone calls. I was told to expect a phone call on a specific day only to call in and find that the person who would call me is on holiday for 3 more days.

The most awful and most frustrating experience as a patient in a walk-in centre. Spent the whole Sunday afternoon at this walk-in centre hoping that my severe bodily complaint would be resolved quickly. Totally dispointed with the attitude of the “registered” health professionals here. The most uncaring, patronising healthcare professionals I have ever met, my severe bodily complaint was totally dismissed, I have been told my this people that I better just get over-the-counter remedy and go to my own GP. Why would I be very determined to sit through 2.5 hours on a Sunday afternoon to be seen by registered clinician? I will not recommend this walk-in centre. They are overly-confident with their poor attitude that it is acceptable not to treat a patient if they do not want to, simply because they think they know better than the patient who is suffering. Where is the caring and humane treatment in this place?

I am in crutches and I was 5 minutes late for my appointment due to being unable to walk.. the health centre was empty and the doctor was not seeing any other patients and they still refused to see me.. horrible reception not friendly or helpful instead they are depressed and miserable people which seem to find pleasure from asserting their authority figure on patients instead of being flexible.. do not join this clinic.. look elsewhere and if you are already a patient move somewhere else because they will let you down when you need them the most!

The superior and deserving members of the human race who have responsibility for people's health in this place take the opportunity to damage the lives the human punch bag scum that they despise and are fully entitled to treat like dirt. Such as telling someone who has a high temperature to go sit in a hot room to "sweat it out" in the hope that the scum will suffer the consequences by becoming delirious. It's only right that the root of all evil in the shape of the undeserving inferior scum should be smashed into the ground by the righteous so that the superior and deserving ones can continue enjoy their privileged lives in one of the richest areas on earth.

Nice receptionist. Naff doctor. Went in with something. After 5 minutes, the doctor fobbed me off to a and e. Clearly clutching at straws she suggested an ear infection. Then said she couldn't treat me. Now I'm at a and e for what I presume is not a life threatening illness. Watching people with more urgent care needed being seen. Which is of course the point. The triage nurse almost laughed at me when I explained why I had been sent here. 2 and a half hours and counting. Thanks.
