Absolutely everyone’s attitude at this location is horrible, nobody has any respect and they barely pay attention to what you say. They don’t like answering questions and they are always messing up on people’s cases. I understand that this is government help BUT we shouldn’t have to deal with disrespectful and ghetto attitudes. Respect is given when respect is received.

The customer service is horrible. Not just one person its everyone. Everyone had a nasty attitude. And every year when its time for me to Renew on my end all documents and anything else they need is turned In on time just for me to still get my benefits cut off because lazy workers there are not doing there job correctly. If you guys are hiring i myself ( which i have excellant customer service) will be glade to come work for yaw and show yaw how its done.

I know rating them on google isn't going to do anything to fix things--I see everyone else who has rated them over the years and nothing seems to have changed--but something needs to change here. I was told a supervisor would contact me regarding a filing error with my insurance, and that was several weeks ago. On top of that, are the folks who work the phone lines trained on mental health and deescalation? You'd think with how they're supposed to be helping people who are often disabled, they'd be trained on these sorts of things. I had a panic attack on the phone, begging someone to listen to me, and the person on the line told me they didn't have to listen to me, called me a liar when I explained my situation, and then hung up. A warning to other people with anxiety disorders or mental health issues in general: if you are able to, take extra time before the call to prepare yourself to be berated, and take some time afterward to do something nice for yourself. I know these people are supposed to help us, but so many of them just don't care, and that can be dangerous.

I tried to call today and the recording says call back M-F 8-4. Your system needs a full remodel because every paper I have and all through the websites say 7:30am-5pm. I've been reaching out for months to no avail. You don't even have my correct information on file. I pay rent and am responsible for a utility, yet none of which reflects on my case. Please hire me so I can better assist our community and get you guys in shape!

Mt. Vernon office needs a make over. These people are rude nasty unprofessional and lazy. The rude nasty lady at the counter tried to tell me to scan in my papers yet all 15 pages were via faxed not one time but 2.... I told the worker I wanted to speak with someone she tried to tell me no. So I stood at the counter and would not leave until she got somebody. ODJFS doesn't care about us. If you can avoid this place and being on welfare then do your best and run. Its NOT worth it the system is modern day slavery at its finest. If you have problems with these ignorant folks call the County Commissioners Office they make these people JUMP!

I always have a good experience and they are helpful. I've had a time where I went to the Northland branch and although the situation got resolved it was frustrating, big, busy and impersonal. I haven't had that happen at this location. I wouldn't recommend calling EVER to any odjfs branch if possible lol but going in this location gets you in and out if you have everything you need together. Thanks for all you do!

I’ve tried calling everyday... first time the lady said she has no idea why my health insurance is being turned off and to come in. I go up there on a Tuesday and it’s closed. Get severely sick for a week and try calling once I’m well enough to talk and they ask for my social then put me on hold for half an hour... just to hang up on me !! Three times now. Trash. I’m nothing but polite to them either. I just need my health insurance

If I could give this place a zero, I would. I've been trying to no avail, for TWO YEARS to get Medicaid for my daughter whom is special needs, and they denied me every single time, even when I had every single important document on hand and on file. I first applied in person, didn't hear back, no one answers the phones, and when they do, they're extremely rude and unprofessional. Had one lady make a comment about hating white people. I THEN request a state hearing, I WIN it, they agree to resubmit my application , giving me 15 days to respond. FOUR days later, I'm denied for everyone in my household, and I only applied for my nine year old daughter. After all this, they don't even have my information right. Something needs find about this!!

When my number was pulled the worker ducked and played possum. I was told to stand back and she called a different number. When I spoke up that I had been called someone just said "yeah, that happens". I was left to stand there for 40 minutes while they helped everyone there and I was the last one left. Then I got full in your face hateful attitude, I was mistreated for being white.

Incredibly rude Incredibly unhelpful. You must micromanage your associate as they have forget or inaccurately processed my applications. They are very interested in getting you off the phone with as little courtesy and explanation as possible- when you are able to get through. They tend to have a lot of “unusual call volumes,” which is, in fact, quite usual. Where on earth do they hire this staff and how could they possibly keep their jobs with this behavior? Update...I have spoken to a couple representatives recently who were helpful, kind, and patient.

Had no problems. Was in line ten minutes before they opened. Had all my important documents. The staff and everyone were friendly and courteous. Waiting is part of the process since they're helping others. It wasn't long since I came prepared.

Got here at 3:45 to go to the Medicaid office. Google says 5 pm they close and I walked to the back where Medicaid is located. No one in the front informed me of anything closing at 3:45. I walked to the back and this man’s voice booms “We’re closed!” It wasn’t even busy. There were two people being seen and that’s it. I just wanted to transfer information. I told him google said it closes at 5, he said “Well nope come back tomorrow at 7:30 am.” But yet the Google says the office is closed Saturday’s and Sundays ???? He also said transferring isn’t valid anywhere and but yet the telephone line said it was possible to transfer state to state info. Terrible place, I’d rather apply online or over the phone with the 800 number than go in this location again. Sad.

Don't have a problem with these people. Dealing with the public is often difficult and overbearing. Most are just trying to do their jobs and go home at the end of the day. Some are actually compassionate.

Although the staff is quite busy, each person I spoke was very helpful and friendly. My case manager told me to listen for my number and before I arrived, she told me to write down on a piece of paper my name, case number and exactly what I needed help with. Writing things down made me feel awkward and child like, but it helped with my being an anxious person. When they called my name, I handed them the paper. A solution followed. Dr. J and staff worked hard to help me.

My cousin works there and he is so respectful and I feel that if u go there wit an attitude u may be the one being nasty they are doing their job just like anybody else will and if they received attitude I see they still know how to keep their composer I seen it for myself they are not rude how people are saying just cause it’s in a rough part of the neighborhood doesn’t mean anything be patient is the key but yea I haven’t had not one problem

They hire incompetent people from their "Opportunity" program who are underpaid and only there to do Data Entry-level work only. They don't follow through with paperwork, they're rude, and most of them could care less about doing the job properly. Unfortunately this how sad our society has become.

I moved to Ohio two months ago. I've been uninsured since the end of July because I was told I had to cancel my New York Medicaid to even apply in Ohio, and there was no way to transfer. I applied through the online portal, then called in to ask a small question. I was told to upload a certain proof of income document and that the application would take up to 45 days to be processed. Six weeks later I called to ask why I hadn't heard anything and was told I needed to upload a second proof of income document, which I did. A week went by without hearing anything, I called back and was told I'd be getting a letter in the mail with forms I needed to sign to verify I wasn't insured through New York State. Yesterday I got a call stating that they actually need a third proof of income document, and that's the one they've needed all along. I was told to upload it and call back, which I did today, only to find out it's not showing up in their system yet, though it shows as uploaded when I log into the portal. I have to call yet again tomorrow to see if it's there, but it might not be. Apparently it can take up to three days. Every single time I've tried to call the line, I've had to try several times over the course of hours because I kept getting the "we are experiencing excessive wait times and can't take your call" recording. When I finally can get through and be put on hold, it still takes 45-60 minutes every single time. In short, dealing with Franklin County Job and Family Services is an absolute nightmare. This is no way to serve people.

I usually don't have a problem have everything ready when I go in that's a plus, I was nervous when I got my letter appointment nd it said I had to call, I was like that's different was used to them calling me lol. But phone interview went well the person was very friendly. Me explained things very well. I appreciate any help I can get. Thank you.

I cannot believe how extremely rude a man was to me on the phone just now. He talked arrogantly to me. Acted like I had no reason to call. Instead of explaining anything he just dismissed me and hung up. Don't they realize that people that need help are the reason they have that job?

Fellow citizens receiving benefits who go to this office and are unfairly treated please stand up for yourselves and contact our county commissioner! I see so many poor reviews of this government office that something needs to be done. Nothing will be done and these underpaid overworked caseworkers will continue to treat all of us poorly. There's a way to stop this. Do not let this go on any longer.

Some of the staff need intense customer service training the women with glasses that scan in paper work has a real bad attitude and very rude when asked a question if you dont like your job find a new one she looks mean before you can even ask a question today's date 6/18/19 around 2:15 PM she was scanning I wish I knew her full name because she is always this way every time I come to the office the fat guy in the computer room has a nasty attitude as well he makes you feel dumb like a low life no customer service skills

They are beyond rude. They dont care about you or your children... They put you through so many loops its unbearable and ridiculous. I just want my family to be able to eat.. Why do they make it soo hard. Do they get a bonus everytime someone gets unfairly sanctioned? Or paperworks mysteriously gets lost? Or stuff dont get updated in time when its not the client's fault?

They have lost my paperwork 2x and I have been without foodstamps for almost 2 months for 6 children because of their mishap. I called and got the rudest women who treated me with the upmost disrespect and was conversatingredients about guys with another co-worker while on the linevitable with me. Sad to say this is our ohio state workers at best.
